He’s been really bad this yearLevshunov did not win B10 Defenseman of the Year by mistake and he does not have 3 AHL points by mistake either. Fantastic transition defenseman with great offensive skill. Just needs to improve on decision-making. There's a reason he is spending entire year in AHL. That is the place to grow/learn, not to win the Calder Cup. Hoping we see a big improvement around the 25 game mark when it starts to come a bit more naturally for him.
Nazar has been fantastic. 11 points in 9 games and is dangerous many other times that don't lead to points. Del Mastro been very good and a rare bright spot defensively on a team that is a bit of a mess.
What happened to Zach Sanford? He's ranged from bad to non-existent. You'd expect more from 334 NHL games on his resume at this level.
And Korchinski? If AA can't light up the AHL with his skill set that tells you all you need to know about his IQ.
He's 20 years old and learning the pro game. If he's struggling in the AHL when he's 30 then yeah, that probably means he has bad hockey IQ as well unless it's injury related. Right now it's too early to tell. And Korchinski?
End of the road for him.Icehogs send down Jalen Luypen to Indy
Yes last year of his elc, he might get some games later in the year back up with the hogs. Injuries and trades.End of the road for him.
Very good defensive forward but just too small to be a guy with a shot in that role and doesn't have the offense.
No love for the news of the Fuel also signing NHL video game legend Joe Vrbetic as a goalie?Icehogs send down Jalen Luypen to Indy
None at allNo love for the news of the Fuel also signing NHL video game legend Joe Vrbetic as a goalie?
Tough crowd. How about that fancy new arena Fishers built for the Fuel? Looks like a nice barn.None at all
It is. We just don’t have a Indy fuel threadTough crowd. How about that fancy new arena Fishers built for the Fuel? Looks like a nice barn.
Even 7th Round Picks Picks aren't safe from Musto Big Board Draft Day Gripes.I remember when they wasted a pick on Luypen.
You might think "it's just a 7th round pick, why does it matter?"
And you'd be right.
But ....
Draft a random Russian from their most recent junior team (they still do random scrimmages with Belarus, Kazakhstan) because in the current CBA, you hold their Draft Rights forever and never have to sign them/run into a numbers game. If they pop off out of nowhere when they're 25 or something, you can still hold their NHL rights from seven years ago.Go for one of the youngest players in the draft, go for someone who's 6'5" just to see what happens, etc.

KK was over matched last year but, given his age i thought he had some good moments. I agree I thought he would thrive more in the AHL this year. at times it does seem random when a player starts getting it. Vlasic last year. Reichel and Arvid this year. (they were written off) as a future goalie goes I would put Arivd above Drew C right now. in regard to AL I think they will regret not taking Demidov. I still think AL can be a solid top 4 RD on a good/great team if he is coachable. (yes you need way more from the 2nd overall) the vaunted 2024 D class has not been good across the board. The only one putting up better numbers then year before is Sam Dickenson.Korchenski was ruined by the Hawks last year, Levshunov is absolute trash and like I said this is gonna be a monumental Fuxk up of the decade not choosing Demodov, this management is absolutely clulees and needs a complete rehaul.
Admittedly though, he has a good point. I'd use an asset like that as a lottery ticket and take someone with maybe 1 really good tool like size or a shot or maybe some kid from Slovenia that nobody has ever heard of.Even 7th Round Picks Picks aren't safe from Musto Big Board Draft Day Gripes.
It tickles me when people call others incompetent while there are 5 typos and misspellings while calling doing soKorchenski was ruined by the Hawks last year, Levshunov is absolute trash and like I said this is gonna be a monumental Fuxk up of the decade not choosing Demodov, this management is absolutely clulees and needs a complete rehaul.
One thing that history will likely forget in the Demidov debate is how uncertain his timeline was for leaving Russia.KK was over matched last year but, given his age i thought he had some good moments. Boohoo it’s a couple names don’t get too ticked there buddy, we have the spelling bee champion in the house today.Admittedly though, he has a good point. KD kind of did that with Marcel though. Doesn't look like it's going to work out but I like the idea

But at least go for favorable odds. Drafting an overage smurf isn't ever going to pan out. Go for one of the youngest players in the draft, go for someone who's 6'5" just to see what happens, etc.
At the time, I liked Christoffer Sedoff. Is he going to play in the NHL? We'll see. He at least still has a shot. Luypen doesn't. Sedoff was a shutdown defender with a decent build and some of the best work ethic you'll ever see. Meanwhile Luypen had zero positives.
him and the agent were pretty clear they were not going to extend past this season. Both he said that (politically correctly) and his US agent. they both were going to have there 1st shot to make the NHL next season. DEM is going to go for 50-70 pts and Lev is probably back in the AHL unless there is massive progress. One thing that history will likely forget in the Demidov debate is how uncertain his timeline was for leaving Russia.
