A lot of talent being wasted it seems . Patience I guess . Ludwinski seems to be struggling

Levshunovs thing is intensity man. Guy looks like Prime Kucherov out there the way he casually waits until the very last second to make a play except the plays never go anywhere e

Still early, but that’s something that entirely within his control and that he’s going to have to improve at some point

I mean he's a few games into his pro career. Its going to be an adjustment thing. I will say that "inconsistent intensity" was apart of his tape at Michigan State.

The guy is has 5 games experience in the AHL and had no training camp. Some patience is in order.

Here is the sequence I was talking about. Inconsistent effort has been a thing for a while. Reason why a few of us didn't like him as much coming out.

That is a decision making issue. 0 to do with inconsistent effort. I get that Levshunov had questions about that but you are making something out of nothing here.

I just want to point out;

If Seth Jones was in the AHL, he would be a cheat code against such paltry competition.

Who had Beer Leaguer Korchinski above Jones on the depth chart, again?

Josh MacNevin doing a great job with Lev & Korch
I really hope that Jared Nightingale leaving Rockford isn't a fly under the radar loss with negative consequences for the D prospects.

Starting in November 2021 he spent 3 seasons as coach of defensmen and the PK for the Hogs. That covers a couple of seasons with Phillips and one each with Vlasic, Kaiser, Allan, and EDM.

I don't see what effort is lacking there. 2 plays where he seemed to anticipate having more time than he did. In his 5th game in a new level
Like any rookie, probably the biggest adjustment is adapting to the need for quicker decisions..... not being cute and recognizing when to bail and make the safe play. It looks like Allan has made progress in a short time - let's hope Lev does the same.

Rewind a few months and 99.99% of people would have fired Soda into the sun and cut him. Goalie development isnt linear. Commesso is only 22 and playing in front of a very young and inexperienced defense who are learning and making massive mistakes which is expected. Look at arguably the best goalie prospect on the planet in Jesper Wallstedt - he is 2-4-1 with a 3.89GAA and a .869 in front of a weak Wild team. Is he nowhere near too? Patience.

The massive red flag I have with Rockford is Levshunov. I am not seeing anything that jumps out. Not seeing game breaking speed or incredible shot, poor decision making, not physical but the absolute red flag to me is the lack of effort. It's early but wow. Patience but you gotta at least show me flashes for being the #2 overall pick. Was last season at Michigan State just luck?

I watched all his highlights and for someone who scored that many points as a Freshman. it looked like alot of puck luck to me. the only thing I noticed is he does shoot alot.

Absolutely the same takeaway I got...I was like "that went in"? In reality Levshunov shouldn't be even getting ice time with his current level of play in Rockford. I fully understand they will put him out there to develop him since he was the #2 overall pick but based on merit he shouldn't be playing a regular shift. I would think the scouts/GM would have really looked into Levshunov and felt comfortable picking him but I just don't see what they saw right now. As I mentioned it's not like he is trying to do too much and flying around. He looks lazy and disinterested and trying pond hockey moves that aren't working at this level and are directly resulting in opponent goals. its obviously really early but there are so many issues I am seeing that it is VERY concerning.
