I could see that. It's kind of my thing with Reichel. When "on" he's a play driver. If you're expecting him to be an opportunist passenger it doesn't work. Korch & Lev need to be "the guy" from the back end.
He has to have line mates who are unselfish enough to get him the puck and let him do his thing. I hated TJ last year because he wouldn't pass the puck to Reichel. Jokes on TJ because he's at home watching like us.

Very different options
Smith is a bigger guy and Reichel is polishing him up when Smith gets into position. Boisevert apparently has a good shot and "mits" if ykwim. I like that. I also kinda like how the team is managing Reichel. "We know you have enough skill to make it happen with 'plugs' so you won't get more minutes until you do." At least that's how I see it. Reichel is talented but last year WASN'T PLAYED WITH NHL TALENT (not his fault). This year that's not the case. I'd love to see Reichel's line develop some more chemistry so Maroon could get some greasy goals off of Reichel and Smith shots.

For those watching Hogs games who do you think will be the first call up?
I know this doesn’t have anything to with current Hawks management and coaching but I remember with Bowman-Quenneville it was handled via who was out in NHL…type of player dictated type of player coming in…if say Craig Smith or Ilya Mikheyev or Patrick Married on get injured is lean towards Colton Dach getting called up, or Landon Slaggert…if say Lukas Reichel or Teuvo Teravainen are injured then it’ll be Franck Nazar

I agree. And I'm also thankful it won't be waiver pickups like Rem Pitlick or Jacob Megna. Probably nice guys but not who I want playing significant minutes for my team
