Legit combination of Lee + Nelson.

Both guys he’s been compared to and he has said he always followed their games. (This was even before being drafted by isles)
Nelson played defense up until he was like 16 or something like that, he plays center like a defenseman watching him in this tournament. He always is in good position in his own zone, he looks like a perfect 2nd line center to me.

Nelson continuing to look good. He’s involved in everything. Winning big faceoffs on the PK and just so noticeable every shift. Getting alot of praise from the broadcast.

Eiserman plays with a huge edge but he’s gotta control it a little better. Took a boarding penalty.
Plays with an edge for sure but undisciplined too just from my eyes. A lot to like with him. A bit of an agitator too. Needs some work though to get to next level.

That’s a snipe for Eiserman to give US 2 goal lead!!

Eiserman has 2 points today basically only playing PP.

Nelson with the Snipe to give us the lead.

Our boys are showing up.

Nelson has been the best and most consistent player for the US this tournament for me.
Yea Nelson has been involved in everything the whole game. Playing with a lot of confidence with the puck. What a heavy shot Eisey has. Lets go boys!

I'm sorry, but this is more fake news

We can't scout and can't draft, hence this isn't happening. It's a really deep fake.

Really like the compete level of nelson and eiserman. Kids we may see sooner than later. Doing things we never saw from Wally at the world juniors.
agreed. if i would describe one thing that we need, is compete level. we have a 'few' that are coasting, and it is a cancer. chop them off. move on. please.....

The problem with the Islanders has never been 'compete' level, it's that they've got too many max effort players, and people view times where those players can't give max effort (because nobody can) as 'lacking compete'.

One thing it's worth mentioning about Eiserman is that he's essentially 2 months older than James Hagens. What a great goal. And it's not difficult to know his thought process. 'Oh you're gonna block my shot? Okay, I'll fake the shot and change the angle on you.' You can't call someone with a release like that selfish, can you?

D Nelson is imo a certain NHL player, but I don't really see the comparisons to B Nelson or Lee. At that age Brock was a gawky stick figure with a lot of skill, and Anders Lee was a straight line net crasher. Danny Nelson isn't like either of them, or even a cross between the two. He doesn't have the skill of Brock, or the single-mindedness that Lee had. I could see 20 goals out of him possibly. But he will be a bear to play against for a very long time as a 3rd line pivot. Opponents won't enjoy seeing him out there.
