D Nelson is imo a certain NHL player, but I don't really see the comparisons to B Nelson or Lee. At that age Brock was a gawky stick figure with a lot of skill, and Anders Lee was a straight line net crasher. Danny Nelson isn't like either of them, or even a cross between the two. He doesn't have the skill of Brock, or the single-mindedness that Lee had. I could see 20 goals out of him possibly. But he will be a bear to play against for a very long time as a 3rd line pivot. Opponents won't enjoy seeing him out there.

Joel Otto without the fisticuffs

Pulkkinen had an assist today. Injury plagued but tough season for a guy most of us had highly rated in our poll.

Same poll we didn’t have Isaiah George top 10 in 😂. Humbling lol

His first few games back from injury he looked decent. Don't know what happened after that.

Nelson and Eiserman will face Nurmi for gold tomorrow.

Nelson voted one of team USA 3 best players of the tournament.
I agree and it was well deserved. Nelson was impressive all tournament.

Isles will have at least 1 prospect win gold tomorrow. Go team USA

A good tournament for the Isles prospects, but I notice that Eiserman is playing as the 13th forward and had only 4 minutes of ice time. Given his production, I wonder what that’s about - defensive liability?

2 games ago he took a bunch of penalties and since then he’s been relegated to 13th forward and PP specialist. I think he learned his lesson but the problem his Ziemer and Moore have been really good with Nelson so they might not want to change things.

The one thing I would change is I would put Eiserman in PP1

Eiserman with GW.
Nelson w/ a lovely EN assist in the waning moments of the game.

Nurmi recently with 2-1-3 - I think that was in the QF.

I don't think we could have asked for a better WJHC for our prospects . . . too bad the Swedes screwed up their goalie choices or it might have bordered on being even better.

It's nice to get a little excited about these prospects but I worry about them going through Bridgeport.

Just like I’m hoping for sweeping changes in the New York Islanders organization I’m also hoping for that in Bridgeport. Chris L and whoever the coach is (was a Thompson assistant I believe?)

Can’t keep accepting this, prospect development is too important for a small market team like ours

I read something (forget where) comparing Nurmi's skating to Hagelin. Is he really that fast?

Eiserman and Nelson are WJC gold medal winners!

Nurmi gets a silver.

Gidlöf was one goal away from bronze.

It was like a 14-round shootout, but Sale ended up owning him, not only scoring the 2nd Czech goal in the game but then taking 6(!) of those 14 penalty shots, scoring on the final 2.

Nelson set up Hagens in OT & Hagens couldn't get the puck over the pad.

I'd have liked NYI to pick Ziemer over Pulkinnen last year. Like Nelson, he's a high floor player. Skates well, competes hard, and had good hockey sense. Dunno if he'll be more, but he'll at least be a NHL bottom 6 forward.

That was a beauty. That should have been the gamewinner.

Pulkinnen was a hot commodity and I think most were quite happy with his selection.

Ziemer is one I have been very impressed with as a complimentary player in recent years. He's a gamer.

Can see him coming along as a pro much like Troy Terry.
