Wranglers kicking the living shit out of the Gulls 6-1 and look like they're about to win their 9th straight game. Morton and Stromgren both with 3pt nights.

Kerins another G to bring his league leading total to 9.

Who has info or input on Trevor Hoskin? Freshman year at Niagara and he's got 4 + 7 in 8 games. You have to be happy with that kind of transition from the OJHL.

Wranglers beat up on the baby Oilers 4-0 outshooting them 36-22 avenging their loss to the Condors that broke their 9 game winning streak. Solovyov, Klapka, Duehr, and Pelts got his 1st of the season into an empty net.
If Mantha is out for a while there are some options. Duehr has been good top 10 production wise in AHL pts, Stromgren or Kerins could have earned a look, not sure if Pelts has done enough to get called up yet and risk having to waive him again.

Dunno why Klapka looked like such shit in his stint after his great pre-season. Never seemed to get the legs going like this. Too much reaching and not enough in control.

Time to give Solovyov a shot with Weegar. Then Kuz and even Brewski.

Miro is just bad I don’t get what management sees in him. Hanley is fine as a 7th D. Barrie can play spot duty. I love Pachal in the role he’s in but he’s not a top 4 guy. What do we have to lose at this point?

I'd disagree.

The Weegar/Miro pair is really rounding into form as of late.

I don't think this fanbase appreciates just how much is being asked of Bahl and Miromanov, and the job they are doing all things considered.

Jurmo had been sent to Rapid City lastweek, at least he's getting playing time and looks like a good start - 3 games, 1&1
Call him up if the Wranglers have an injury

Anyone know what happened to Ciona?

Parekh not playing?
He got rocked last game and took a few seconds to get up on a hit that was absolutely charging but went uncalled. However he played the rest of the game and didn't seem any worse for wear so I don't know if that had anything to do with it.

I think it's early in the year yet but I'm hoping Saginaw trades him.

Why do you want him traded? With Misa there they are very unlikely to be sellers until next year since he's still 17 and can't be traded.

On a different note I wonder if Parekh will go to the NCAA next year with the new rules in place.

Players that have signed their ELCs won't be eligible for the NCAA, Parekh signed in July

The Spirit as a whole play pretty fast and loose and I'm not sure that he's going to improve much defensively playing there. Plus, from a selfish watchability perspective the Spirit have very few forwards who pick up what Parekh is putting down, if he's not out with Misa's line he spends his time making plays and activating only to not get the puck back and have advantages he created turn into bad shots and turnovers.

I don't know if it's likely or not but the majority of he people in the Spirit's thread in the OHL forum seemed to favor trading him, at least early in the season anyways.

I still wished we picked Dickinson over Parekh ngl...
Dickinson's scoring is juiced for the record. I've never really seen him being much of a PP QB at the next level but I could be wrong. If you just mean he's a safer bet due to his size and all around game then I get it.

Wranglers beat up on the SJ Barracuda 6-2. 2 EN goals, Honzek got his first assist of the season on the last one.

Stromgren, Morton, Duehr all had multi point nights.
Kerins had another goal to bring his total to a league leading(tied) 11.
Gotta think Duehr is the next fwd on the callup docket, been really good.

Kind of bummed to see Honzek come back to earth after that preseason, his numbers don't jump off the page in the AHL and his time in the NHL has been mediocre at best.

Keep getting bigger and stronger, and I assume the rest will come (hopefully). We could really use another top 6 drafted player over the next couple years.

Pretty sure Coronato had like 8 points in preseason last year too. What was important for Honzek is that he shut up the doubters (myself included)

3 points in 6 games when he’s been 20 for all of 6 days is very good production, especially coming back from injury. Friendly reminder that in the same situation, Zary was under .5 point per game in the same situation, and Honzek is definitely currently adjusting to the pro life still. He’s still way ahead of schedule which is crazy with how much strength he still has to add.

Wranglers beat the Gulls last night staying undefeated in their arena as the Calgary Wranglers. Maybe some small karmic revenge for the Flames sucking at the Ponda center for so long. Was a weird one, three SHG in this game. Another multi point effort for Pelletier and Kerins. Cooley made some big saves, might have liked one of their goals back. Poirier scored his first goal of the season.
