Working well though with the teams best player would be a good reason to bring along in such a short tournament.

No not if makar is healthy and and option to play, but the choice isn't bouchard over makar. It is bouchard replacing an injured/sick makar that can't play.

I was shocked Bennington was named the starter and not someone like Montembault. Bennington has sucked this year and Montembault is the home team guy. I agree their goalie situation is suspect though.

If there is one guy who deserves consideration, it's Blackwood. If it wasn't for Blackwood, the Sharks might have a significantly worse record (And it's already bad).

Ah, OK, wasn't aware of the context. Still, back to my original point, if Canada is thinking about who they want long-term, it makes sense to take Harley. If you presume that Makar will be the #1 going forward, you'd want someone who can play comfortably on the middle or bottom pairing...

Even among overpaid Canadian goalies who have won the Cup, I'd have more faith in Darcy Kuemper than Binnington.

We need the have color on color when it comes to the uniforms. This is really cool to look at, blue vs red. I also like the mixture of the colors on the face off dots. They really spared no expense with this tourney.

The first time I saw color-on-color in the NBA, I wanted it in the NHL. It would be so easy to just create a matrix of teams allowed to play color-on-color against each other, or when third jerseys are necessary to avoid home colors being too close.

Is this mostly because I have been dreaming about seeing the Sharks' teal against the Red Wings homes for the last fifteen years? Maybe. You can't prove it.
