Im a very casual Blue Jays fan but this management seems completely incompetent and just incapable of doing the right thing
We can judge because there was a point where the number was fairly obvious and management refused to commit. At the end of the day, we don’t know the number ($$$) that will get the deal done. So how can we really judge? But this front office is so stubborn with their valuations.

They've been walking this to the deadline (like Bo) while having cold feet the whole way along. This is the same group that dropped out of the Soto bidding once it hit a certain level because they "stuck to their valuations"
Same. I’m just in shock with the level ineptitude to do something like this tbh.Im a very casual Blue Jays fan but this management seems completely incompetent and just incapable of doing the right thing
There’s always two sides negotiating.
Not a particularly good look. I do wonder what the FO’s hold up is. Is it work and health habits? Variable performance over the years? There has to be something.
Might as well explore the trade market now. Likely the high point in trade value.
“I’m here. We didn’t get an agreement. Now, they’re going to have to compete with 29 other teams,"
The FO is just not good.
I was just about to post suggesting it wasn't a real deadline because there's no way Vladdy would say no if they came to him between now and the end of the season and offered what he's asking for. So I guess today doesn't really change anything.
As an outside fan, the worst part about this is that he's going to end up on the Yankees or Dodgers now.
I'm a Red Sox fan so I would love that but I can't see it.Red Sox
