I actually like all of these except for Portillo's mask.

I've said it before, I'll say it again - Dave is a victim of his own popularity. You have 32 teams, he does a new mask for each goalie every year so that's 1/2/3/4 goalies per team - say 3. That's 90-odd masks a year. There's only so much you can do each year for a certain team. There are only so many ways you can arrange the same combination of logos and colour schemes and art work. Once you stop being able to repeat that all you're left with are the gimmicks which look stupid in a still photo and which nobody except the goalie or guy standing in front of the goalie are ever going to see.

I think the argument of whether or not Dave is talented is moot. The fact he has to keep churning these things out year after year is creatively bankrupt to the point where he can't actually express any artistic ability because he's exhausted all of it. That said, that "Buffalo" head mask and Georgiev's monstrosity from earlier this season tell me Dave seems to be diversifying into what an Ed Hardy shirt would look like if you had an LSD-induced nightmare about one, so maybe there are yet more troughs to furrow.

If I was a goalie I'd have one mask and stick with that.

The raptor one is good. Clean and has some nice creativity in it.
