The Jets need to pump Velveeta Cheese with 7-8 goals tonight. I’m tired of that dude going god mode against the good guys.

Interesting fact:

The famous police sketch artist rendering of the unibomber wasn't actually of the unibomber. The lady who had seen him initially had a sketch artist come and do the first sketch... and then when they sent another artist back to do it again, she was so traumatized that she ended up describing the initial sketch artist to the second sketch artist (instead of describing the unibomber)
Sketchy story :sarcasm:

Just because a guy fawkes it's hardly worth ranting over.

Oh, it's just once a year? Okay, that's understandable.

Since there will be no meaningful results from the Other Thing Happening Tonight until after 11 pm, I shall be glued to the Utah game. Especially if I turn my phone off. I'm expecting the Jets to continue flying around the ice like they have been doing and racking up their amazing goal total.

Any word yet on who is starting in goal? Is it our perfect goaltender or the other older guy?
LOL, just LOL. Going to pretend you're talking about the Presidential Election , wink, wink.:D

We used to have two...

The one on Osborne Street closed too soon...
The Zoo has so many memories for me, First Time I saw Nickleback was there (they’re a Canadian Institution, if you disagree, fight me), my buddies in the metal scene played there a lot, Art of the Skin events, etc.

I was a preppy kid and did not fit in at all. But the metal heads were cool as shit.

Nino playing in career game # 900 tonight (112th as a Jet)

Jets defence lead in the league in combined points (43) and goals (11)

Jets lead the league in GF and GA in the 3rd period, scoring 23 goals while only giving up 8. The +15 third period goal differential is the highest in any single period among all teams this season.

Jets are tied for the league lead with 43 even strength goals and leads the league with a +19 goal differential at even strength in that span.

Niche state: Kyle Connor needs a point tonight to tie Kevin Stevens for the season-opening point streak record by an American born player with 13. Getting closer to Gretzky's all-time record of 51:thumbu:

Jets have scored 6 goals 6 times while Utah has gone into OT 6 times, so advantage Jets.

Looks like Vejmelka gets the start for Utah tonight.

Karel Vejmelka has a 1-6-2 record in 9 games with a goals against average of 2.79 and a save percentage of .918 against the Jets in his career.

I saw Nickelback at The Zoo many times too. Playing in front of like 100 people. Back then they were heavier and didnt suck like they do now. I remember it seemed to be either Jar or Noise Therapy that always opened for them. Saw a few gawd awful Battle Of The Bands there aswell lol.

Anyone know how Nickelback got their name?
A couple of the guys worked at Starbucks in their youths and a small coffee would come out to .95 cents so all day long they would be saying "Here is your nickel back, here is your nickel back, here is your nickel back". Fun fact you can share with your friends.

Fun fact. Anyone know how Nickelback got their name?
The band was formed in the early 1990s as a cover band called Village Idiot[9]by brothers Michael and Chad Kroeger; their cousin Brandon Kroeger and Ryan Peake rounded out the band. The band later changed its name to Nickelback, which originated from the nickel in change that band member Mike Kroeger gave customers at his job at Starbucks; he would frequently say, "Here's your nickel back."[10][11] - Wikipedia
