Macewen can not be a regular on this team. Gotta be a league minimum forward that upgrades that bottom line.

I'm not a huge fan but MacEwen has a history with Green and might therefore get a longer look.

To everyone and anyone putting MacEwen in their lineup. There are far more productive NHL caliber options for the fourth line than him that the team can fill in house or can be cheaply acquired through the free market.

I feel we might have to in order to make sure JBD/Hamonic stay as 7th defenders. A 3rd pairing defender that can play both sides would help with development for both Kleven and JBD

For those that argued our roster is worse, CiH put up the opening night roster and compared it to the expected roster:

Which would you rather start the year with (lol at having to start the year a man short because Dorion can't manage the cap)?

Answer is obviously # 2 imo. No debate.

Crazy how much turnover in general. 7 new bodies (likely + 1 or 2 more depending what else they do), plus Norris/Pinto potentially full time. That's half the team.

Agree on ostapchuk likely being fine on 4th line, not so sure about mcEwen..
