kokko is doing great so far in the AHL if he can develop enough in a couple years my thought is keep gru and just let him walk in 2 years and have kokko take over the roster spot as the back up to daccord.

I feel like Evans is going under the radar this season. He had 9 points in 36 games last season. He has 11 in 18 games so far. As many as Montour does.

Main boards have some X tweets mentioning that the salary cap could go up to the $95-$97 million range next season. That could be helpful for us because we don't have to worry as much about Bura/Gru. Also gives more options to trade because it may not cost as much because there may be more competition among tanking teams to take on bad contract(s).

Shane Wright had a season low 8:34 of ice-time and took only two shifts in the third period yesterday against the New York Islanders. With Ben Meyers currently with the Seattle Kraken, we might be getting close to see @deepseahockey.bsky.social 's prediction of Wright getting scratched.

Dan Bylsma explained that Shane Wright’s scratch was a means to “reset” him after a tough stretch. Says “Shane’s game has been trending in not the best direction” and he wants the centerman to get back to playing “the way [he] played earlier in the season” #Seakraken

I am starting to think that spending some time in Coachella to get his mojo back may be the best move forward. He gets to play with some talented wingers like Sale, Firkus, which could help with that.Seems like Wright will be in the press box again tonight.

It's a bummer to see him not being able to produce after the way he finished off last season on the Kraken

Predicting goalies is hard but I am just glad we found one (hopefully) in Daccord. Having a reliable goaltender makes watching games so much more enjoyable .. LOL.

Evans is starting to get some recognition, but he’s not getting enough because of him playing in Seattle. If the dude were in Canada or the original 6, everybody would be talking about him.

Funnily enough, what started me thinking about it was remembering how much hype there was about Ottawa's Jake Sanderson when he came in. I'm not sure if Evans is playing at quite the same level but he's getting zero run right now.

It seems like both Canada and Switzerland are interested in him playing for their national team.
That's pretty interesting for an American born dude....
