A healthy scratch may be good for him. Maybe send him down for a game or two as well. Let him get some confidence back.Sound Of Hockey (@soundofhockey.com)
Shane Wright had a season low 8:34 of ice-time and took only two shifts in the third period yesterday against the New York Islanders. With Ben Meyers currently with the Seattle Kraken, we might be getting close to see @deepseahockey.bsky.social 's prediction of Wright getting scratched.bsky.app
I am starting to think that spending some time in Coachella to get his mojo back may be the best move forward. He gets to play with some talented wingers like Sale, Firkus, which could help with that.Seems like Wright will be in the press box again tonight.
Pacific Notes: Wright, Samsonov, Vaněček
Kraken center Shane Wright was a healthy scratch for the first time this season in Sunday's 2-0 loss to the Rangers. …www.prohockeyrumors.com
Not that surprising to me.
He just hasn't been all that good and is currently on pace for roughly ten points this season.
Predicting goalies is hard but I am just glad we found one (hopefully) in Daccord. Having a reliable goaltender makes watching games so much more enjoyable .. LOL.Daccord's .923 sv% is currently 6th among goaltenders, tied with Hellebuyck
His 2.31 GAA is 9th, just a hair behind Jake Allen and Pyotr Kotchetkov (both 2.30)
You love to see it.
Funnily enough, what started me thinking about it was remembering how much hype there was about Ottawa's Jake Sanderson when he came in. I'm not sure if Evans is playing at quite the same level but he's getting zero run right now.Evans is starting to get some recognition, but he’s not getting enough because of him playing in Seattle. If the dude were in Canada or the original 6, everybody would be talking about him.
