kokko is doing great so far in the AHL if he can develop enough in a couple years my thought is keep gru and just let him walk in 2 years and have kokko take over the roster spot as the back up to daccord.

Main boards have some X tweets mentioning that the salary cap could go up to the $95-$97 million range next season. That could be helpful for us because we don't have to worry as much about Bura/Gru. Also gives more options to trade because it may not cost as much because there may be more competition among tanking teams to take on bad contract(s).

A healthy scratch may be good for him. Maybe send him down for a game or two as well. Let him get some confidence back.

Seems like Wright will be in the press box again tonight.

Not that surprising to me.
He just hasn't been all that good and is currently on pace for roughly ten points this season.

I am starting to think that spending some time in Coachella to get his mojo back may be the best move forward. He gets to play with some talented wingers like Sale, Firkus, which could help with that.

It's a bummer to see him not being able to produce after the way he finished off last season on the Kraken

Daccord's .923 sv% is currently 6th among goaltenders, tied with Hellebuyck

His 2.31 GAA is 9th, just a hair behind Jake Allen and Pyotr Kotchetkov (both 2.30)

You love to see it.

Predicting goalies is hard but I am just glad we found one (hopefully) in Daccord. Having a reliable goaltender makes watching games so much more enjoyable .. LOL.

Five VERY winnable games coming up...

@LA
@Anaheim
vsAnaheim
@sj
vsSJ

Another question, as I've spent a lot of time pumping Daccord's tires lately for not getting the press his play deserves...

Is Evans equally underrated or under the radar?

Evans is starting to get some recognition, but he’s not getting enough because of him playing in Seattle. If the dude were in Canada or the original 6, everybody would be talking about him.

Funnily enough, what started me thinking about it was remembering how much hype there was about Ottawa's Jake Sanderson when he came in. I'm not sure if Evans is playing at quite the same level but he's getting zero run right now.
