I can't remember - were we told to expect some system changes? I haven't noticed anything different. I didn't expect much to be different either, just a coach that the players don't hate.
Our entries into the offensive zone on power plays are no longer so predictably dependant on back passes.

And then the actual article on Fox 13's site says...

I don't think I've ever wanted a player to succeed as much as Shane wright. So many people want him to fail to prove a point
Yeah. I generally stay away from making posts on the main boards but made one earlier on that thread. It seems like the moment Slaf started doing well, it got even worse.

I have never understood fans wanting prospects from other teams to fail. These are 18-21 year old kids for f***s sake. Just root for the ones on your team if you want. No need to talk down about other teams prospects.

Even just the other day someone was criticizing him on one of the main threads and clearly was just stat watching rather than watching the games. I think Wright has started the season well and think more points will come.

Geez. That’s a bummer. At least Mahura was defensively responsible against Calgary.
Only plus side is that it helps with the cap a little

Hockey does crack me up where Dunns injury post game implied 'tis just a scratch' no big deal etc to LTIR.

I feel like every other sport it's worrying about the worst case then it getting played down/not being as bad.

He's on LTIR because the Kraken are so cap strapped they are not carrying 23 players....it is purely for cap reasons.

Of all the players to do that though, surely you wouldn't want Dunn out long. Especially with the GM under pressure to make the play offs unless they think they can win the majority without him.

Cale Fleury send back to CV

Trade incoming?
Or do we just don't like options in case someone get's injured?

I feel like nothing illustrates Francis' "ride or die" philosophy when it comes to letting bad contracts run all the way to conclusion rather than buying out, trading with sweetener, etc. than the fact that Schultz (who spent most of last season on the Kraken second pairing?) couldnt get a look from a single NHL team this year and is headed to Europe.

Not really a Kraken fan, just an outsider.

But what does Daccord need to do to given the reigns for awhile?

It's not like Grubauer is even playing decent hockey. He's posted like an .893 SV% over his last 40 games with a GAA near 3.00.

I get the Grubauer makes a wad of cash, but at some point doesn't being competitive seem like the better option?

Well .. we are wondering the same so not sure if we can answer that question. My guess is Gru having some really bad starts in a row OR that changing if we are in the playoff bubble sometime later this season.

This team cannot really afford to lose games given they are far from guaranteed to make the playoffs. And Daccord does give us the best chance to win.

A convenient injury. Feels like Grubauer has been banged up at some point every year

Beniers is enabling scoring, but isn’t contributing directly. I’m sure he wants to shake the pack of scoring but his co tribution is impactful.

As for Evans, yes, he’s done very well and looks like an NHL player out there. I think he ends up being a guy who floats around to more ice time as injuries happen, but I’m not sure that he’s going to get it when everybody is healthy. It’s a good problem for the Kraken to have

Don't know what Beniers can do except keep plugging away. With the effort he gives, things have to go his way eventually.

Evans is doing extremely well especially for someone so early in his career. I think his eventual ceiling might surprise us.
