Beautiful Jared Woolley goal:
Wow, great hands.
London has such a good program and he has Sam Dickinson and Oliver Bonk to learn from...both top D prospects....and of course, the London coaching. Woolley doesn't turn 19 until late Feb.
I think Yannetti's last few drafts are looking so good....still not getting the Hughes pick, but see he's stepped up the last few weeks. Seems he knows a contract is on the line.
I was at the last Sunday at TSC before the juniors were sent back and keyed mostly on Greentree, Woolley and Angus Booth that last scrimmage. They all looked great. Booth has poise and good hockey sense. Being 6'1" 200 (I think) and kind of a tweener - defense or offense prowess? He may have more of a challenge beating out these 6'5" LHD prospects: Dvorak, Woolley. He may be more of a Mikey Anderson.
Kings are looking a little better on LHD for pipeline; Dvorak, Woolley, Booth, Kirsanov, but a little light on RHD: Salin, Mania, Sparkes. Maybe Salin signs after his Liiga yr. He's putting up big numbers.
I am hoping for a RHD in round 1 (unless a can't miss C is there) Hensler, Mrtka, Trethewey, Fiddler. Aitcheson is LHD and would be fine, if he's better than any RHD when they pick....but I'd rather see a C or W that can score, than a LHD. And yeah, you don't draft 18 yo's for position. Most are 2-4 yrs away. But RHD is weak.
Will be interesting to see who signs, come March - April: Conmy? Wright, Hughes, Connors, Salin, Kirsanov...super longshot: Slukynsky.
