Ended up scratching Dumba about 8 games before I estimated they would. He is not good, much less worth &3.75m and top 4 minutes

Suter > Dumba, and cheaper too

Not sure how you stumble into 100pts then.
Him, Pavs and Hintz had great chemistry with each other a few years ago. That’s a factor along with his shot. He doesn’t shoot as often anymore and not as deadly as it was back then.

have we considered politely asking Pavelski to come out of retirement
I think his son Johnny really misses him being around this season.

I was curious about a few things during this Wild game.

I was reminded Benn is a UFA this summer and will turn 36 before next season.

The first year of the big Hintz contract had no trade protection, but starting this season, he had full NMC protection kick in until the contract ends in 2031.

Robertson is in season 3 of his 4 season extension. The salary was back loaded to make his qualifying offer at the end of it $9.3 million. His contract also has no trade protection, and uh... Nill might want to take advantage of this freedom before getting to the end and needing to deal with the question of paying this qualifying offer he's no longer worth.

Man, it's sad looking at some of the numbers our guys have to start this season

Hintz - 10 in 16 (51 point pace)
Robertson - 8 in 16 (41 point pace)
Johnston - 7 in 16 (35 point pace)
Heiskanen - 6 in 16 (30 point pace)

Of course, if the PP starts clicking these should change at some point but it's tough to see.

I think the worst part about it is most of these guys outside of sometimes Johnston don't show any signs of their numbers changing anytime soon.

I don't know the exact numbers but the scoring chances for these guys has gotta be wayyy down. Feels like some games they don't even get chances at all, especially Robertson

Which one of you mofos did your voodoo and switched Marchment and Hintz's bodies? It seemed like every other shift in the Minny game Hintz was on his butt and Marchment is holding off defenders, staying on his skates and picking up goals. WTF universe have you created?

The big worry besides paying Robo ridiculous money would be that Bourque doesn't come good and while Wyatt and Stank are very solid there's just not enough offense two seasons from now.

In addition I go back and forth on Benn but it seems like a bad bet to pay him $4m even in a one year deal starting next season. Gimpy Seguin is a better value and that can't last either.

It has been a weird start to the season, fixing to hit a quarter of the way in, but not worried. Johnston, Robertson, Hintz, etc. will pick up pace.

Being such a balanced 4 line forward team we won’t have a league leader in scoring (wouldn’t mind if Duchene or Marchment proved me wrong) but the Stars have plenty of offense; it’ll wake up.

Hintz is the LeBron James flopper of the NHL. Everytime he falls down or someone touches him he cries to the officials. Trade him while you can!!!

I’d get rid of Robertson before Hintz

Hintz has had chemistry with multiple players/lines.

He and Radulov consistently had great plays together, and hell the only time Guryanov looked like an NHL top 6 player was when he played with Roope.

Then Hintz found chemistry with Pavs and JRob and it stuck for awhile. I think you can find another player for Hintz to gel with in time and his production will bounce back.

Robertson hasn’t been effective or noticeable outside of that line. His skating is still an issue, regardless of how much better it is than before. Needs to go back to focusing on his offensive zone positioning and stop trying to be a 200ft player that he doesn’t have the tools for.
