I remember pitching that in the offseasonThe player I want from the Isles is JP Pageau
True.If we are looking at Noah, I don’t think Peter or Paul are involved.
John
He is a good all around D. And he is younger than Terry. And he plays a position that is much harder to fill than a winger.
I don’t think a 1-1 Terry for Dobson deal is enough for the islanders but that is the cost of acquiring top talent. Terry’s replacement is already in the system. Guys like Dobson are almost never available.
Edmonton has zero assets that would be of interest to Anaheim IMO.Some on the Oilers boards are practically begging for Gibson.
Will be a really interesting TDL. Time for Pat to decide if we are sellers or buyers.

The problem with both Edmonton and Vegas (besides being in the same division) is that they are both almost bereft any decent assets to send back. Carolina OTOH has the assets but doesn't like to trade them. Kinda all points to Gibson isn't going anywhere. One team that I could see having interest in Gibson is Vegas, but maybe not until the offseason. Hill and Samsonov have just been OK and they are UFAs at the end of the season.
Englund's nickname shall be Freddy Krueger lol.Penguins claimed Kolyachonok. How about Englund as a #7 to replace Dumo?
Completely agree - we could be on the verge of breaking through next year but for that to happen we need 2 goalies that can steal gamesAt this point, I actually wouldn’t be crazy about seeing Gibby get traded. He’s been playing so well and he seems to be enjoying himself a bit more.
Goalie trades are always underwhelming in terms of return. Nobody should be getting too excited about what we’d get for him.
I agree with this but I would also add that I would trade him if he legitimately wants to leave. I know not everyone will agree with that, but it would be doing him a solid (and I’m not saying I would just give him away either).I’m fine with Gibson either way. It just doesn’t matter that much. He’s not blocking anyone and is still pretty good if the coaching staff manages his work load
The only reason I wanted to see him traded before was because it appeared the coaching staff was going to play him the vast majority of starts over Dostal, which would have been a huge mistake
