I give Halliday at best 50/50 right now.
Don’t see him being a needle mover But hope I’m wrong.
Halliday IMO doesn't need to be a needle mover, right now he is a pt behind Pilon to lead Belleville in scoring & he is only 22 yrs old. Ott doesn't need him to start in the top nine either next yr & can slowly insert him into the lineup as we have seen them do with most young players. That way he can earn his ice time & where he plays in the lineup.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Ostapchuk - Halliday - MacEwan 4th line. Both MacEwan & Ostapchuk are big, tough & pretty good on the forecheck. Halliday brings some playmaking & pt production to the 4th line which would help Ott to have a 4th line that can produce some pts. Ostapchuk can also play 4th line centre, but I also like him on the wing, should be interesting & both players should help Ott next season.

Halliday has nothing to offer an NHL 4th line. He's a powerplay specialist.

He's actually a very similar prospect to Egor Sokolov. Big guy, doesn't move particularly well, doesn't defend well, doesn't produce at even strength, not physical.

How would you compare their skating? Didn't watch much of Belleville this season (and frankly, not really motivated due to the lack of legit prospects in there)
