He also performed really well in the playoffs last year. I’d guess whatever is going on is something mental like the change of scenery/honeymoon phase of the new team being over and now him having to adjust or he’s playing through an injury. Guys don’t forget to play hockey in their prime generallyI am willing to be a bit more patient with Mitts. He has been a bit better the last couple of games.
Wait'll you take a peek at his shot totals...Mitts: 2G 11A in 33gms since Nov 1st.
I don't have any explanation, solution or prediction but this is bad.
I'm sure they're abysmal, but I feel his attempts the last few games have gone up.Wait'll you take a peek at his shot totals...

Maybe we can healthy scratch him a game or two, once Nuke comes back and runGod how I wish we could reverse last year's Byram/Mittelstadt trade and look elsewhere.
Casey Mittelstadt has become horrendous.

PetterssonMitts+Ritchie+1st for some teams 1C to play as our 2C
Petterson
It’s also closed if Mitts has permanently turned into a pumpkinI’ve been debating the merits of this, it would force the Avs to be even more top heavy, but if he could return to the 100 point two-way C it could be worth the risk. If he continues to play as a lame duck 2C at 11.6 the contention window is guaranteed closed
First of all, his salary is gigantic. Second of all, we shouldn't be trading one head case for another potential head case.Pettersson
Could use a player who provides that kind of effort.
