He also performed really well in the playoffs last year. I’d guess whatever is going on is something mental like the change of scenery/honeymoon phase of the new team being over and now him having to adjust or he’s playing through an injury. I’ve been debating the merits of this, it would force the Avs to be even more top heavy, but if he could return to the 100 point two-way C it could be worth the risk. If he continues to play as a lame duck 2C at 11.6 the contention window is guaranteed closed
