Was all good moves to get competition going on the spots and then make the right decisions based on camp/pre-season. As high hopes as I had for Brännström, he simply didn't deliver and was now part of what seems to be a nice cap/asset move.
The whole key part. We know Malinski can provide offense, but he needs to show this. CdH and Ludvig will both probably get chances to show they can gain some chemistry with him.
Lit a fire maybe. But also he bulked up a little and is probably better adapted to the grind of the NHL now.

The middle 6 could really use someone who can shoot, as that's really been lacking since Burakovsky and Kadri left. And even with Lehkonen, Nichushkin, and Landeskog back there would still be a lack of a true sniper.

Both Kovalenko and Ivan are waiver exempt so it's most likely just paper transactions, certainly for Kovalenko if not both.
