It would be foolish of them if we’re offering the best center return. Can’t see Vancouver trading one of those guys to Colorado.
Thats given.Mittelstadt would definitely be going the other way. That covers half of it. I'm not too sure our trade offer would be particularly attractive to them though.
Thats given.
I would be really curious how some people here would react to such trade, after looking to trade Mikko away for so long, because "depth". And then getting EP40 for similar money.
I absolutely can if they like the Avs package best. Can’t see Vancouver trading one of those guys to Colorado.

If they are moving Miller AND Pettersson, and Boeser is a strong candidate to be moved by the TDL as well, they are probably signalling a rebuild. No sense in not sending a player in-conference when you won't be competing.
That'd be something else if they traded both but I could see the appeal if they can get decent centers back...it became clear this season that Hughes is their franchise player.
That'd be something else if they traded both but I could see the appeal if they can get decent centers back...it became clear this season that Hughes is their one and only franchise player.
They'd never do that. As much as I hate the guy (for rivalry purpose), he's their best player in franchise history. Above Bure, Mogilny, Sedins, Linden, Luongo, etc.Might as well trade Quinn Hughes to jumpstart the rebuild.
Best centers that can help them to win now...My guess would be Miller for Zibanejad and EP for Tage Thompson.Who are the best centers you think they could pry lose?
Fukken saved, this GIF will receive a lot of future use at HFBoards

Depends how much the Sabres want to shake things up.That's an interesting one Tage for EP. I don't know if Buffalo does that he's 7M/yr and back up closer to ppg this season.
The team has to be hoping Mitts works out and will wait as long as they can(i.e. TDL in 6 weeks) to pull the trigger on a 2C deal. The fact is we paid a pretty penny for Mitts by moving Byram, got him signed for 3 years, he's a good age, and we don't have tons of assets to try and acquire another 2C.
We need defensemen. Ideally, 2 of them.
I don't think anybody here wants Malinski, de Haan, Middleton, or Kylington playing in the playoffs, nevermind two of them which would be a disaster. One or two of these guys need to be the 7/8 options in case of injuries.
We need to go 1 of 2 ways:
1. Acquire new RHD and LHD for the bottom pairing. Shouldn't cost too much.
or
2. Acquire a new RHD for the second pair, pushing Manson down to third pair, and a new LHD for the bottom pair. This might cost more and makes the cap situation a bit tighter.
Depends how much the Sabres want to shake things up.
They'd likely prefer to send the Cozens + Byram package though. I don't even know why that trade didn't happen yet TBH.
As much as I agree, Rutherford explicitly stated if they blow it up, Quinn goes, too. They'd never do that. As much as I hate the guy (for rivalry purpose), he's their best player in franchise history. Above Bure, Mogilny, Sedins, Linden, Luongo, etc.
Throw all the assets to get Quinn. Play Quinn and Makar on separate pairings and you've got 1st pairings out there for basically 50+ minutesAs much as I agree, Rutherford explicitly stated if they blow it up, Quinn goes, too.
Wild.
Rather, if Quinn goes they blow it up.As much as I agree, Rutherford explicitly stated if they blow it up, Quinn goes, too.

"If we were going to completely start over that means Quinn goes."Rather, if Quinn goes they blow it up.
Why not? Trading a locker room cancer to another team within your conference is just smart businessCan’t see Vancouver trading one of those guys to Colorado.
