So the Rangers as of today are 24th in the league standings, 9th lowest points. That means their 2nd round pick as of today would be 41st overall.

I actually think we could get a pretty solid player with that pick as the basis of the deal. Whether its a Dman or a Forward, they could probably get a solid #4/5Dman or a 2nd line winger using that pick.


Still maintain the trade that was discussed on the main boards with Ducks fans regarding Dumolin would be an excellent deal for us. Which for reference, was the 2024 NYR 2nd for Dumolin(50%) + DET 2024 4th.

He, along with guys like Malinski are the kind of guys pro scouts will have crushes on. The Avs don’t have a lot of draft pick capital. Teams are going to be asking for young pros with upside.

I can see Malinski going the other way for a 4/5 dman. He's an RFA and he's expendable.

My hunch is the Avs bring in 2 dmen, and ship Malinski out.

Seeing how the Necas narrative mentions them looking for a star player and Colorado, they seem to allude to Rantanen. What would a trade like that look like? Would it pretty much be a hockey trade swap with how Necas is performing and the cap difference or would we expect more from Carolina? I also like the Islanders peices with Nelson and Mayfield, though instead of Palmeri I would check on Pageau.
