All these teams in the East should be selling. Detroit, CBJ, Ottawa, Boston, Montreal, Rangers, Philly, Isles.

WTF are they gonna do in the playoffs? Win a round or two maybe? Just start making your team better next year and beyond, so you might be able to challenge for a Cup one day. That's the goal of all of this.

This is the exact problem and why it will be virtually impossible for the Avs to do anything of value at the deadline.

There are just too many teams that think they have a legit shot. Teams aren't going to sell of the think they can make the playoffs.

There are like 6 teams that are for sure sellers. Pittsburgh but Crosby is a pipe dream, Buffalo but not sure what they have we'd want or they'd part with, Seattle maybe Gourde, Nashville ROR but f*** that, Chicago maybe Donato but that doesn't help much, and San Jose who has no forwards but maybe Ferraro on defense.

It's slim pickings out there.
