I do wonder with the timing of the Lindgren deal, if Jones wasn't the initial target and then with that return I imagine the Avs could have absolutely matched so you do have to wonder if perhaps Jones nixed the deal.

To me it's like this :

I think the Avs wanted him and I think it was important to try and outbid Dallas but - outbid the Panthers??? Maybe not so much.
