The Stamkos situation will be incredibly interesting to watch. They clearly want him back, they brought back McD partially for Stammer, but they have an internal price they can't go over currently. For that to change, they need to move Sergachev. In that deal, they really need a younger (ideally <26) impact forward.

Skinner would be a solid replacement for Drouin if he leaves. Far from a perfect player and there are losing tendencies there but I think he could work with the Avs. I mean, Drouin himself had a lot more negatives than even Skinner coming in and he bought in. Big difference in age and Skinner's career/money isn't on the line in the same way but it could work!

He'd be smart to jump at an opportunity like the Avs over the Leafs IMO.
