Yes - he’s a stud and you sign Lindholm

Zacha- Lindholm - Pastrnak
Marchand - TBD- Necas

High end baby !!!!!

I like the idea of 12 & Chychrun but you have game breakers on both lines
I can imagine the outcry if the B's get eliminated early again with that many euros in the top 6

Yes that is my quote.

A shutdown pairing is a pair that you give the hardest minutes to against the best players on the opposite team. And their job is just to play defense, you don't need any offense from them.

You said that Lindholm-Carlo aren't physical enough to be a shutdown pair ergo your definitition of a shutdown pair is defensemen who are physical as well as good defensively.

So my response, is if you don't think they are the right players to be on a shutdown pair, then please suggest players that are not only as good or better defensively than Lindholm+Carlo, but also are physically imposing. Because you want players that are more physical on the shutdown pair.
Lets move on

Marchand - TBD- Necas

I would rather keep the pick, need to start developing a center. Not going to get many chances being this good and have that opportunity to get #12 to invest in the near future?

He didn't say that. He said shutdown pair. YOU brought up physicality.

Also, Carlo is plenty physical. Lindholm less so, but he was much better at this in year one in Boston than year two.

Agreed on the bolded.

He'll never be a predator on the ice, thats not his game. But I don't think he shied away from contact. Better than year 1 for sure.

There are plenty of great defensive defensemen who aren't overly physical. They are just elite at being in the way.

Garrioch is the most plugged in guy for Sens news, he's an Ottawa guy unlike Dreger.
Dreger didn't say Boston and Ottawa weren't talking.
And Garrioch (at least in his tweet- can't read the article) didn't say that PHI and OTT ARE talking.

2 separates rumours. Boston and Ottawa can be talking about Ullmark AND Philadelphia and Ottawa might not be talking at all.

Dom said both conversations are being had.

That's evidence enough for me.

Wow #12 instead of Boston’s former 1st round pick would be unreal. Then also to get the other Philly pick, thinking 2nd or 3rd rounder, seems obscene. Wonder who the players from Ottawa & Boston are? Thinking Chychrun is going to Philly, but would love him in Boston. Dom said we’d be more than than ok with the exchange of players. Don’t think it’s Pinto cause they don’t have any centers to fill his shoes unless it’s Pinto for Zacha or something like that. Not very likely, but what about Greig for Poitras? Or Kastelic for Luako? Whatever it is, the return for Ullmark is already better than I thought. Hopefully Alfie talks some Swedish sense into Ullmark

Not just that conversations are being had but Dom gave us more than he usually does...

Essentially its #12 + roster player for Ullmark + roster player

He seems confident we'd be ok with the roster players going back and forth, which makes me pause a little on Chychrun. A feel like half the board is kind of split on him but I think the general consensus is he would be an upgrade so I wouldn't rule it out

I feel like it could be something like

Philly: Chychrun + #7
Ottawa: Laughton + #12 + pick

Boston: Pinto + #12
Ottawa: Ullmark + Geekie

Bruins could use Pinto a lot more than Chyrchrun. He's a threat in the bumper. Ottawa easily replaces him with Laughton/Geekie and get their goalie.

Put Stephenson between Marchand and Necas and that's a fast, skilled line with a little grit. Need to add Duhaime and Johsua tot he bottom 6 and Maroon as 13th forward and I like the teams chances a lot.

I think Dom said Philly would be sending two picks to Ottawa, the 12th and another unspecified pick. Then both picks and a player to Boston for Ullmark & player. I might have read it wrong though

Dom has said a lot of things.

Like Krejci coming back was a sure thing and he was just waiting to sign on the dotted line in the offseason of 2021.

Dom hears things and passes along what he can. At the end of the day though he's hearing things 2nd/3rd hand. He's not hearing stuff from Sweeney directly.

Who knows what misinformation has been fed to those sources. I appreciate Dom for sharing what he does but its not always going to be true.

And I believe all the info that @DominicT provides because he has nothing to gain from lying to random people on a hockey forum. The reality is that sometimes things make it to the finish line, but many times they don't. Team are taking and making calls about players all the time and odds are we only hear about 1% of those rumors.

Havent seen this Joshua kid so enlighten me why you guys want him so badly? If he is a banger, will he continue to do so in this system? I highly doubt it.

Just like the shit kicking I took with this one, and then when it happened, silence.

Some people just don't get how it works and I am tired of it. I'm going on 63, not in the best health and should probably enjoy my time rather then dealing with it
