2024 2025 Playoff Tracker

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Of course the games matter. But if you are expecting us to win 10 of 13 against mostly the best teams in the league, which is what we need to do at least to make the playoffs, I think that is an unreasonable expectation. Our beginning record with Todd (15-5) is not how good we are, we are much worse than that. Talent wise we are about at .500 type team. We are a lower tier one line team with bad D and goaltending. We have virtually no secondary scoring and the D speaks for itself. Goaltending is all over the map.
if you believe that we are a .500 team then we should expect to win 12 of our final 24 games. we've already won 2, that would mean that we're due to win 10 more. now, do i believe that is likely is to happen? not really. do i think it's impossible? also no

our remaining games are utah, colorado, ottawa, boston, st louis, carolina, florida, montreal, florida, tampa, dallas, nj, toronto. utah and boston should be wins. i don't agree that ottawa, st louis and montreal are so significantly better than us that we should automatically count on losing. the final 5 games are against teams that will solidly be in the playoffs, so maybe we get lucky with them resting a couple of their stars

the games that i think we'll lose for sure is against colorado because it's the second of a back to back and the third game in four nights, the lightning game for the same reason, and the toronto game because it's the second of a back to back and it'll be the fifth game in eight nights

Our defense sucks outside of Seider, Ed, and AlJo. Chiarot belongs on the 3rd pair. Holl belongs in the AHL. The playoffs seem like a pipe deeam this year barring some miracles. Just tank at this point, bring up ASP and maybe Danielson or Mazur next season, and for the love of pete, make sure that whoever we pick in the draft and sign/trade for in the off season are non-fecal players.
