Torts was right on this one. Funny to see the ref deny it as though there game wasn’t being filmed.

Stupidly, my initial thought about the incident was "well, I've never seen that before, but I guess he changed his mind", completely forgetting about the fact that teams PULL THEIR GOALTENDER for an extra man as soon as a referee raises his arm. What in the hell do the referees/the league do if the opposing team ends up scoring on the empty net in that situation? About as amateur of a circumstance as can be concocted in an NHL game.

The games is not on TV in my area so I didn't see exactly what happened but Linus Ullmark tweaked something during the 1st period tonight in Edmonton - he finished the period ( stopping 6 of 7 shots ) but did not return to the game in the 2nd period.
