I have made it a quest to always stay fluent. I watch RDS, BMP Sports almost everyday on YouTube. I love the French language
Yeah I'm making sure to not lose my French either by consuming Habs stuff through French. I try to watch French films as much as possible but modern French films are... terrible and I'm running out of classics/new wave. I love the language, love Québec, and love Québecois culture in as much as I can experience and consume it (sadly, am not able to contribute to it at the moment). People complaining about QC and its people have no idea how bad the same things are elsewhere.

Watch the series 'Corbeaux'

It is reminiscent of American series in this genre and not exactly a 'Lite' version of what gets done south of the border.

It's very hard if you aren't conversing and surrounded by the language in your everyday life.
It's incredible how easy it is to lose the accent and the ability to think in french when you aren't using it.
I worked with a clientele based in the States for years and never had to to use my french. It was only when at gatherings that I realized I was losing my ability to converse fluidly and found myself having to search for words. The accent however is the strangest thing. I grew up learning my french on the streets playing sports and was able to pass myself off as a Franco. It got to the point where when I took an assignment out west I was told I had a french accent when speaking English. For some reason as an Anglophone I felt offended. :dunno:

Now I get annoyed when I can't quite get the accent right speaking french.

Day to day? I thought the guy just had surgery on his leg?

He did. That's why I do not understand the Habs haven't just released that he is out indefinitely, which doesn't necessarilly insinuate that he would gone for the season (if there is a chance he can come back)

Any update on Heineman and Guhle? TSN saying Guhle is day to day and the Habs haven't put him on LTIR (puckpedia).

Heineman practiced today in a non-contact jersey. He's probably a week away.

Reinbacher is a game time decision for Laval tomorrow night against Manitoba.

Guhle is out for the season. He had surgery on his leg for a deep cut. There's no way he's playing again this season.

Is there an easy way to legally stream French films in the USA?

Anderson and Pezzetta went full bungee jumping in Cancun or what?

Every time I see this thread bumped I feel anxiety.

Well, there’s the Criterion channel. Otherwise, I don’t live in the US so I don’t know, but it’s the world’s premier consumer market so I’m sure there are plenty of options.

So after some quick research, I am doubting that Guhle could return before 12 weeks. There is the healing of the muscle which depends on severity but looks to be at leadt 6 weeks, and then the stretching and strengthening, which is at least 4 weeks. And then the getting beck into game shape. There is no way he is day to day if he wss losing so much blood that his foot was turning blue.

Also, there is a chance that when he comes back that he will have permanent muscle damage that reduces strength and flexibility. Not holding my breath, and I hope that I an wrong. Heal uo Kaiden!
