Guhle is still not skating. I hate to stir up shit, and this is just my opinion and I hope Habs don’t have to do that but... once Guhle is healthy again and can last a few games... i'd look to trade him. For a ransom. Not just for anyone of course, but definitely for someone who is top pairing material as well as can actually go through the season without being sideline more than half the games. Throw in Dvorak as a sweetener.
Now, generally nobody can predict longevity cause injuries happen, but with Guhle it really is becoming evident that he is unlikely to have a season where he is mostly healthy. I like him a lot and I would not want to lose him, but man... this is ridiculous.
So you'd want to trade Guhle for a healthier version of Guhle? I'm not sure there will be any takers on that. We just have to hope that he can stop with these dumb injuries and play as many games as possible. He played 70 lastr year which isn't bad, but ideally would be above 75+ games a year. Maybe one day.

Guhle not even skating yet?

He might be the best all around player on the team. It's a big loss when he's out.

I'm tired of making excuses for injuries. He should have never put himself in the spot he was in to get checked like that.

His coaches should get a clue and at least start playing him on his natural side.

I think this would be an awful idea but if we entertain this as an option, what are you looking to acquire?
Hard to say without knowing who is available. But if Romanov got us Dach, then Ghule should yield more. A competent forward who can score 50-60 pts and who doesn't not have a injury history.

Wow that would be Chelios/McDo level awful and I share your injury concerns.

It’s a shitty situation to be in but if he’s gone 10-15 games a year then we lose that trade so bad.

We have plenty of guys who can score 50 points. We’re fine at forward in the very near future. Not trading an absolute stud for that, injuries or no.

The problem is we’re cursed

Plenty of guys??? Only Suzuki, Caufield, Slaf, Gallagher and Laine have done it. It's obvious Gallagher won't do it again and it's a question mark if Laine will do.
Forwards is this team's main weakness... by far.

Has been since the late 90's. Tomas Plekanec is the only Habs drafted pick in this century to have scored 70 points.

Demidov coming up and Is about as sure a thing as you can get. Caufield and Slaf surely haven’t peaked.

You still have Hage who’s looking not as sure as Demidov but looking as good as anyone. Dach, Roy, etc.

Plenty of very able candidates. We can easily have a top 6 filled with first liners in two years.

You get rid of Guhle who do you have to replace what he brings? Losing him creates a far bigger hole than this ‘competent top 6er’. I can’t even imagine how this is a debate.

Josh Anderson didn't finish tonight's game after blocking a slapper. Doesn't bode well.
