Maybe the reason their conditioning sucks is they keep skipping practices for therapy days.
It's a big circle.
It's a big circle.
I think for me the big difference this time around is looking at a guy like Farrell who I think is fairly similar to the Scherbak/Andrighetto/Hudon tier. A couple of years ago there was some hype around him after his big sophomore year and he was getting pencilled into all the "2 years from now" lineups, there were discussions about if we could make room for him with other small forwards like Caufield and Gallagher because he was seen as having an inside shot at becoming a middle sixer for us.I know!
it's just PTSD, it'll pass someday
but i'm telling you this future core of Scherbak, Andrighetto, Carr, Hudon and De La Rose will cause a lot of headaches to other teams

Only Price is on IR. RHP and Laine are on LTIR. Reinbacher is on SOIR which means his cap isn't counted on the Habs.6 game in 6 guys on IR 25% of the team + Price
Guhle
Slaf
Laine
RHP
Barron
Reinbacher
+ these 4 needed days off/missed games
Struble
Matheson
Armia
Dvorak
Total 20 guys that's half the team
Are the Habs leading the league in missed games again?
Mystery solved
In all honesty, i think the lack of structure and system is big part of these injuries
Defenseman and forwards are exhausting themselves defending, then taking big hits just trying to clear a puck, add in the blocked shots.
It has to take its toll
Damnit. I was the first to make gypsy curse jokes and none of you laughed! I’m totally bummed. Those dang gypsies can sure hold on to a grudge.

Maybe, but I personally don't see a lot of evidence of that.
Barron got hurt because he fumbled an easy Ozone pass and tried to recover while Trouba was intent on punishing him.
Laine got hurt while trying to carry the puck over the blue line.
Guhle got hurt after dumping the puck in the Ozone, and once again, didn't brace himself for an incoming check.
Reinbacher should have easily been able to take that check without a season ending injury.
Slaf/Math I don't think we know totally what happened.
I didn't like the way Guhle was shaking his head in the face off circle his next shift after the hit.
There has been an improvement on the projections of when a player is expected to be back/diagnosis and also on taking precaution. The modus is on the players to let the trainers know of any issues though.Good thing we changed out the athletic trainers before last season. It’s made a huge difference, hasn’t it?
He missed 12 games last season, not sure if it was all for that hit.I didn't like the way Guhle was shaking his head in the face off circle his next shift after the hit.
I thought it was quiet room worthy at the very least.
He looked concussed in my books and he also played like he was concussed.
We all know recurring issues take much longer to come back from.
He missed what 12 games after the Kucherov hit...
Pssst Slafkovsky, played 82 games last year under this new staff. This is his first injury and it seems minorI am seriously questioning the strength and conditioning program of this org.
It makes no sense that our guys can’t take any physicality (not talking about Barron as that was a hockey play)
I haven’t seen any team so injury prone as ours - they must be doing something different.
There was a reason why the Rangers moved on from their athletic director - why did we hire him?
I mean how can a giant like Slaf keep getting injured?
There’s something not being done right

The blocked shots... there is soo much separation between point men and Habs forwards that they have a ton of time to wind up and slap it into the Habs' crew that's already been hemmed in their own end for 2 minutes or more.Mystery solved

It is a possibility but for blocked shots I only recall Savard and Pearson getting hurt. I'm curious where team ranks on hits taken and blocked shots since last year.Mystery solved

The main problem is our elite player getting injure : Slaf, Guhle, Dach and reinbacher....They are all above 6ft2 lol.... I can understand Caufield or Newhook getting injure....I am seriously questioning the strength and conditioning program of this org.

Agree and it is why I was open to that last season. The more we wait, the lower his value will might become. Imagine you get an offer for real top 6 forward. Hard to pass.Guhle is still not skating. I hate to stir up shit, and this is just my opinion and I hope Habs don’t have to do that but... once Guhle is healthy again and can last a few games... i'd look to trade him. For a ransom. Not just for anyone of course, but definitely for someone who is top pairing material as well as can actually go through the season without being sideline more than half the games. Throw in Dvorak as a sweetener.
Now, generally nobody can predict longevity cause injuries happen, but with Guhle it really is becoming evident that he is unlikely to have a season where he is mostly healthy. I like him a lot and I would not want to lose him, but man... this is ridiculous.
I think this would be an awful idea but if we entertain this as an option, what are you looking to acquire?Agree and it is why I was open to that last season. The more we wait, the lower his value will might become. Imagine you get an offer for real top 6 forward. Hard to pass.
