When you continuously fail to draft and develop and even trade for a 2C and 3C and spend assets year after year trying to get some centre depth. This is what happens.

Jost, Newhook, Colton, Mittelstadt, Ryjo, now Parsnippinen and Drury.

A lot of assets have gone out the door to try to fill that hole. And it's coming back to haunt Cmac in the form of no defense.

The Avs are 3 deep on D. And your #3 is questionable to survive a playoff round.

I see a 7 goal 19 assist playoff out of him along with sublime defense and boning multiple blonde Russian supermodels while leading the Avs to a cup.

The conn smythe goes to MacK. There are allegations for the next decade that Mitts should have won it.

Also @WarriorOfGandhi is about to go to the parade to celebrate the cup win but as he's leaving Sydney Sweeney knocks on his door. Wearing a French maid outfit.

I 100% agree. I see the same scenario replaying in my head over and over and over.

f***...the Avs could aim to draft a 4C with their #1 pick and would still end up with a dude who only plays ECHL games.

The Avs drafting department needs to be absolved. Seriously. Just use one of the subscription based cumulitive draft models and chose the BPA on it for anything outside of the top 5. I would say top 10, but the Avs kinda took Jost there. They don't deserve to use a #10 draft pick until they prove they can do better with lesser ones.

Until MacKinnon retires or publically acknowledges he is looking forward to training and helping the next generation, the Avs should absolutely not draft a player in the first round. Every single one of those chips needs to be used in a move to win now somehow. I'm not even convinced the Avs should be taking players in the second or third rounds.

It's getting to the point where if the Avs have a pick in the first three rounds, I'm thinking the GM didn't do enough to help the team. These picks are and will continue to produce absolute bumpkiss for the Avs until they start missing the playoffs regularly and by a large margin.

Avs did draft at Mikko at #10 overall, which they were able to convert into Necas and Drury

I'm kidding of course

Well, I suppose they’re finally waking up to the fact their drafting sucks because they went through Hepple and Klippenstein in pretty quick fashion. And the guy they got now (forget his name) was hired from outside the organization, right?

I honestly wonder, looking back, if Pracey f***ed up that disastrous 2014 draft on purpose after he got overruled in 2013 by Roy.

Actually, I am serious. When did Gabe skate last? Is it every day? Is it every other day? Or every third day? How long does it take for his swelling to go down?

Or is it a secret......?

Not easy to tell, they even admitted themselves that Lando has been skating away from the public eye.

Unfortunately that won’t happen especially now that he’s wearing an A. Wish he hadn’t turned down the chance to play for Canada at the 2018 Olympics. Mack at least has a WHC gold. Can’t see Cale turning down his first chance to represent Canada (with NHLers) at the senior level
