Someone will go on LTIR after 4 nation's to free up Landy.

Just have him practice hard. No way I want to waste the emotional lift on something else that a playoff game. Would be a huge missed opportunity.

Don't care. Players say practicing when trying to comeback is harder then playing, coaches drive them so hard. Landy will be ready. I'll trade a bit of rust on Landy for the huge lift on all 20 teamates. Priceless. Simple math.

The emotional lift will last the first game. Then what? You have a rusty as f*** Landy who has no chemistry with anyone and looks out of game pace/shape.

Honestly interested in how folks feel/think about this...

If Gabe really thinks he's ready, why would he be waiting until after the 4 Nations tournament to come back?

Wouldn't he be on the ice trying to make Sweden's team? With as few best on best tournaments as Gabe has been allowed to perform in, does anyone really think he would willingly skip this one, if healthy? If Sweden doesn't keep a roster spot open for him as an injury replacement, I'm not sure how excited I should get. But I do grin everytime I see him back on the ice... so I have that going for me.

On the ice, maybe not in that way we last saw him 3 years ago.

But the captain going into war, running someone over in his first shift after missing 3 years will spark a fire under the rest of this team.

Believe me, there is no better motivation than watch a "King fighting his own battles front row".

And one thing for sure: No one in this locker wont act like "he doesnt care" when the captain is around.

Talking about a "real captain": This team needs one badly. For 3 years by now.
