The way it's worded it leads to believe that he started the season injured.

Yet he's still at 80% a month and a half into the season? Don't these guys ever heal?
I had replacement discs inserted into my neck in 2017. I still don't feel 100%. Probably closer to 75% - 80%. Can't look all the way up without discomfort. Can't look over my shoulders for too long, or I get dizzy and see "stars".

My oldest daughter has had at least 6 concussions that I know of (from playing volleyball), and she'll never be 100% again. Takes meds for chronic migraines. Has to wear blue light blocking glasses. Has now been diagnosed with POTS, and is having trouble with numerous symptoms of that.

My younger daughter broke her arm in gymnastics twice, in the same place, when she was 10, and now can't bend her arm and put her fingers to her shoulder. Probably 95% range of motion. Likely will never be 100% again.

Maybe he'll never be 100% again? Maybe 80% is his new 100%. I think we can all agree that he had a pretty good concussion in the playoffs last year, and played with it. Might not still feel great. Maybe never will.

By Friday we would go from…

Lehk - Mack - Mikko
Kivi - Mitts - LOC
Ivan - Kelly - Kovy
Prish - Tynan - Wags

To

Drouin - Mack - Mikko
Lehk - Mitts - Nuke
Wood - Ivan - LOC
Kivi - Kelly - Kovy
I'd love to see it - but if I know our friend Jared, he's extremely unlikely to 'demote' Kelly to #4C and 'promote' Ivan to #3C.

I think we're going to have 'meatshield' shot-blocking Kelly there until 'sniper' Ross comes back.

Oh God I'd love to see that. My dreams of a full YOLO pairing of MacNorris/Malinski would finally be realized!
Chances of dream turning into a nightmare:
