Is Landy starts a full practice with the team soon, not sure they can keep him out until the playoffs unless he has set backs, and if no set backs and he’s ready to play, something gotta give as far as making the cap work and putting Landy in the lineup

Yup -there's a reason Bednar has to be cagey - if not a bit ignorant - about Landy's status. The goal is to soak up as much LTIR juice as they can and as soon as Bednar or anybody else indicates that Landeskog is close to "full go" , the game is up and there goes the LTIR relief. Landeskog will be unable to play . . . until he isn't.

They've watched Vegas do this for years and they're reading from the same script.

I would imagine IF Landeskog is ready to come back prior to the playoffs, someone else with a nagging injury goes on LTIR until the playoffs. I'm thinking either Drouin or Toews since both have publicly admitted to battling injuries all season, but it'd likely have to be Toews for cap purposes.

Yeah I am fully convinced at this point that they're playing the LTIR game with Landy.


They're either waiting for someone else's timeline on a surgery to lineup with Landy so they can swap them out essentially, or they're timing Landy's return for the playoffs.
