ah that makes sense.
Wagner will be with us, but I don’t think there will be a spot for him? I don’t think they’ll sit Ivan, Kelly or Kovalenko.

I’m glad they sent Prish down. No sense in having him up here playing 4-6 minutes (or even scratched) when he can be getting bigger minutes in the AHL. There’s an NHL player there. Let’s hope the avs can harness it.

Wags will be the designated nacho eater

I think the "Setback" stuff was overblown by some of the usual suspects. Bednar said as much when he called it a setback that it was a pretty minor thing and more along the lines of simply part of the process versus a true setback.

I will say that he's probably not quite on the Lonzo Ball timeline anymore, which would have saw his return to game action being around mid December I believe... But I would say it still feels like a Mid January return is entirely possible.

He's obviously not giving it 100% in that clip, but I would say he was moving pretty good at the same time.

Yeah, turning very gingerly.

A "setback" may or may not even be related to his actual injury. When my brother was rehabbing after his major knee surgery he had a few other issues in the leg as he was trying to strengthen it, like one time he pulled a calf muscle during physical therapy. Set him back a couple weeks but it was nothing to do with his actual knee recovery.
I think Bednar already said he had inflammation in his knee after doing on ice activities so they stopped it for a while and had him doing gym stuff only for a bit.

I don’t recall Bednar giving the specifics.

That would be very unlike the Avs.

Can you find that for me? Not doubting you, just surprised and didn’t see that myself.

I swear it was in that morning show interview he does maybe about a week or 2 ago.

It was either him or Hench that posted something like that, I can't remember but I didn't just dream this up haha.

Hopefully just maintenance.... But not like last time.

I don't know if he's going to miss time or not but that's a real case of wondering if he needs a surgery and the team was waiting to get healthier before sending him on IR.

Bednar did try Girard with Makar a lot lately, something we didn't see since Makar's rookie season.
