I expect Toews to take some time off soon. He's been very bad this year and things are going in the wrong direction. He gets a bit worse every game.

On the bright side, wagner isnt taking up valuable playtime on the eagles. Hes not that useful as a player though.

Yes and no , Prischepov is young and a full year in the AHL wont hurt , in fact spending time in the minor will be beneficial for his development in the long run .

One of these players is waivers exempt, and it's not Wagner

No it's not. One guy can be in the press box and no one will bat an eye. One guy deserves playing time to develop his game.

Bednar trusts Wagner to take defensive zone draws and kill penalties, even if he's not good at either of those things.

Prischepov has not earned that trust from him yet.

One could ask what Wagner has even done to earn that trust, but that's an entirely different conversation.
All valid points. I definitely agree him getting ice time in the AHL is better than sitting in the press box.

Just watching Wagner be on the ice yet alone actually have gained Bednars trust is frustrating. He just seem overall bad.

Pokecheque

I’ve been told it’s spelled “Pokecheck”

I feel like this is the same thing as everyone slagging all over Dries back in the day. And I'm not saying either guy is some outstanding player, but geez, people, look how many bodies had to drop before someone like that was even called up. What exactly are our expectations when it's, like, the 15th or 16th forward on the depth chart? Who's more worthy? Polin? Wise? Megnatron? I guarantee you it ain't Olausson or Foudy.

3 bodies coming back, 3 bodies sent down.

Pretty predictable.

Not required since Kahkonen was claimed.

Only 2 needed to go down, we can keep 1 as a healthy scratch.

Wagner is on waivers because he played 9 games and became waiver eligible again, we want the flexibility to send him up/down to accrue cap space. He'll probably still be with the Avs tomorrow night.

ah that makes sense.
Wagner will be with us, but I don’t think there will be a spot for him? I don’t think they’ll sit Ivan, Kelly or Kovalenko.

I’m glad they sent Prish down. No sense in having him up here playing 4-6 minutes (or even scratched) when he can be getting bigger minutes in the AHL. There’s an NHL player there. Let’s hope the avs can harness it.
