Heard from JR that Halloway is comfortable playing center and he’s excited for the opportunity to play there with Thomas out.
I’d see what we have internally first. Try Holloway at C. Try Tex at C again. Sundqvist, Walker…but fact remains, the next 6 weeks are probably going to be a struggle. I’m not in favor of paying assets to bring in a short term bandaid solution. Sink or swim with this group. If a trade that makes sense now but also in the future materializes, go for it, but that’s unlikely so I’m not counting on it.
Pretty much this. Let’s see what we have for the immediate future and re-evaluate if necessary.I’d see what we have internally first. Try Holloway at C. Try Tex at C again. Alexandrov had lots of holes in his game last season. Has he improved at all? Playing him at centre on The 3rd Line sounds like a mistake to me. I'd rather try Texier there.Alexandrov is off to a fast start also. We can bring him up and give him top 9 minutes.
You forgot FaksaWill they have Holloway centre The 3rd Line, or The 2nd? I don't like Schenn at centre anymore. He's a lot better on the wing. I'd play Buchnevich on The 1st Line, Holloway on The 2nd, and try Texier on The 3rd, and put Sundqvist on The 4th.
Yes I did. Thanks. I'd have Faksa at centre, and Sundqvist in a rotation with Walker or another wingerYou forgot Faksa
Holloway is playing 3C tonight. Will they have Holloway centre The 3rd Line, or The 2nd? I don't like Schenn at centre anymore. He's a lot better on the wing. I'd play Buchnevich on The 1st Line, Holloway on The 2nd, and try Texier on The 3rd, and put Sundqvist on The 4th, but on the wing, with Faksa at centre.
But Thomas was ready. His all around game was much more developed and sending back to the OHL would have been a waste as he had outgrown it.Can you imagine if that had been the approach with a 19 year old Robert Thomas?
I shall fart in your general direction.I was watching the historical documentary on the Holy Grail and the Black Knight kept fighting with both arms and both legs injured, I think injured players just need to suck it up more

Keep projecting, guarantee we don't trade futures for a stopgap center. Saw you already lost your mind once on the offer sheet thread! The Asylum called. You missed your meds.....again.

I agree, but you really dont know what you have with Dvorsky until you throw him out there for a few games. But Thomas was ready. His all around game was much more developed and sending back to the OHL would have been a waste as he had outgrown it.
