I'm worried this kid hasn't signed. I don't understand why, unless he wants to play immediately which I guess we can't guarantee.

This was from early July. I mean I guess you can worry but I wouldn’t even bother.

Just seems like the kid wanted to live the full college experience, getting his degree and all…

As I’ve said, not worried since I heard it from Devine himself at development camp, and Bill said they were supportive of his decision and also couldn’t wait for him to sign later in the year !

No need to worry.

I also imagine that if we are worried he won’t sign, we would trade his rights at the deadline for our rentals. He’s likely worth a low second to some rebuilding teams and then he could play immediately

He's also playing with Gavin McKenna. Wish we could suck so that we could draft McKenna ... not really I'm happy that we don't suck lol. But McKenna going to be such a great #1 pic for whoever gets him (hopefully not Buffalo).

I suspected he was playing with McKenna, yeah have to take those stats with a grain of salt. But still, impressive that he's been picked to play with him .

Goal #4 was real slick.

He’s just looked like a real hockey player since the beginning…

Great pace, a motor always running, moves up the puck, goes to the hard areas, attacks the net with purpose, skates hard, go back and repeat…

Pretty simple hockey player but that’s winning and effective hockey, he also has had great success/progress lately with pretty good production.

Let’s see if he can keep up !

The 3 assists is killing me lmao
The anti-Barkov? So selfish, shoots everything :D

Very good start of the year for him. Next year in the AHL will be interesting.

Overall our forward prospect situation is looking pretty good, especially considering out lack of picks. Our goalie geoup is decent as well. The D is where it sucks. On the bright side, our pro scouting is strong too - we just need Zito to pick up Forsling v2 on waivers in a few years...:sarcasm:

Someone give me the lowdown on McAllister. Does this guy have NHL potential? He puts up points but does he have the other prerequisite skills to make it?

Depends on him. Obviously has the skill and hockey sense. But he needs to consistently play 200 feet as well to be a Panther.

Jack Devine. 22 points in 13 games, held of the scoresheet only once but approaching a month without a goal. I should watch his game tonight to check out more than clips but is this year's SH% a run of bad luck or does he seem to just be prioritising getting the puck to his teammates. Looking at it quickly he's averaging about 1 shot fewer per game than last year where he scored 27 in 44 games.

He was more of a playmaker his freshman year too, and in the USNTDP. He can set up plays as well as he can score.
