Puutio is getting better and better since last 2 years...Some players stop they're devellopment but he seems to be stronger than before( he his even bigger than last year, not a big player but better size than last year)and confident. Florida should keep and eye on this good prospect!
Two years out at least, I'm hoping for a strong Liiga season this year, then AHL season after that. Ideally, he'll be on the big team in 2024-2025!

Puutio looks like a pretty good prospect for a 5th rounder, but I don't think he deserved to win "best defenseman" award. Nice honour still, though.

So, why isn’t Puutio signed to his ELC yet…is he staying in Europe this season or coming over?
Yep. He had an okay first Liiga season but he needs more consistent time. We also have a good number of D prospects to play ie Ludvig, Gildon, Kiersted, Staios, Santu and the Swedish guy who I cannot remember

Puutio had the best Corsi for defensemen in KalPa last season at 56%.
Also had a bit low on-ice shooting percentage at 7.4%, so he was probably bit unlucky that he didn't have more points.
I would assume that he's gonna have a breakout year next season in Liiga.

Puutio with 1 absolutely brutal turnover that lead to a goal against. Also scored a goal, so I guess that evens out. Had some nice movement in the offensive zone.

Just saw that John Ludvig was born in Liberec, Czech Republic. Does anybody have more insight on his background story and when he came over? He only played in Cnada as far as I could find out. Is he more Czech or more Canadian?
Thanks in advance.

More Canadian, I think he grew up here. His dad was an NHL player himself

Excuse my ignorance but for how long does a club have the rights to a player? Asking mostly cause a Panthers 2016 draft pick Linus Nässen is leading the league in points by a defenseman.
