I think it depends on the AHL team. Winning at that level is worth something to the organization, so having a guy who can score helps with that. We had Conacher in that role after it was obvious he didn't have an NHL future. I think it's good to keep guys in a winning culture as much as possible. Make losing rare and hated as much as you can.
I agree with you, but career AHLers aren't the priority. ABB is primarily an offensive player. His PP time is going to get cut into for a developing player. Versatility, and a willingness to play in bottom six roles, are valued. My original point was that outside of maybe the top 2/3rds of the NHL, there's not a lot of job security, in the form of multi-year contracts for a veteran player.

Europe isn't all that secure, either, but there's maybe a better chance of playing multiple years as a valuable player, a mold which ABB would seem to fit more into given the strengths in his game.

What's the development rule?

Did I do something wrong, I don't remember cap accrual being this effective? Also for the sake of the example I picked a random player on the team that happend to be Sheary

Current available Cap space: $618,334

If we don't move anyone: 618,334(192/41)= $2,895,612.88

If we traded Sheary (and replaced him with a 800k player) at the TDL: $2,895,612.88 + (2,000,000-800,000)= $4,095,612.88

If we traded Sheary (and replaced him with a 800k player) today: $618,334 + (2,000,000-800,000) = $1,818,334, $1,818,334(184/41)= $8,160,328.20 + 618,334(8/41)= $120,650.54 $8,160,328.20 + $120,650.54 = $8,280,978.74

Unironically, I'm surprised that there hasn't been any NHL teams using The Enforcer by Monster Truck. I looked through a list of current and past NHL goal songs and didn't see it.

Looking at dozens of European goal songs is something. Feeling very Freed From Desire right about now.

The Leafs used Monster Truck in 2016-17 and 2017-18 before they went to Hall and Oates.

Every goal song we've had in recent years absolutely sucks. So soft and bad. Get some hype in the building, not this patsy rock or other nonsense. The Fluxland one would have been better without the chants imo but still not my cup of tea.

I was wondering why that generic Rock and Roll pt. 2 from back in the day disappeared. Would've taken that one back in a heartbeat until I read the YT comments just now...yikes!

Just go personal goal horns from now on. MSL and Stamkos got me more fired up than anything.

Don't know about copy right issues. But Jump Around ( House of Pain ) would be a great goal song. University of Wisconsin football puts it to good use.

The problem is nothing we've had was fun, inspiring, or even popular at the time. It was either cliche arena music or something overly played out. This at the very least says thunder and lightning in the song. I think it comes down to not having someone who is either the least creative music dj in hockey or doesn't actually know any music and just downloaded a generic playlist.

Some good sounding dub step and wrestling music cross overs would have done wonders in the Cup years.

That would be perfect for 90's night. Tampa has a nice metal contingent but no one is coming to a hockey game to hear Lamb of God. So that leaves the area's affinity for pop music. Like they made a cover of Uptown Funk with Lightning player names during the 2015 Cup run. The problem with Amalie's arena music is that no one in the building has a clue to seize that kind of moment

Last night was the best play list I ever heard. Idk if it is someone new but let em cook.
