Trocheck has been invisible, and Chytil, like you pointed out, is hurt. Looked great to start the season though.
Yeah, I think Werenski has been an underrated defenseman for a while, and I'm a bigger fan of him than most. But he is at least a couple tiers below Makar on the ice. Very good and can be really dynamic, but on his best day he barely sniffs Makar's average level.
Oh definitely, all my point was he's been really good so far.

Sid's not dumb. He knows more about the game of hockey than all of us combined, and he sure as shit knows that the roster sucks and will continue to suck for the rest of his career. I believe he fully accepts that and is content to be a lifer in Pittsburgh and ride off into the sunset with Malkin and Letang. He doesn't have anything left to accomplish for his career except climbing a few spots higher into the top ten all time in points.The initial phrasing of this tweet with the word "typically", combined with his fight the other day, and the trade rumors, had me expecting that story to turn out a different way.
