Swayman sure isn't stealing many games in Boston for being the best goalie in the league. With numbers like that one could argue that he's one of the main reason why the Bruins are struggling.

I just watched the full game of the Sens beating the Leafs 3-0 in Toronto.

Man, sometimes the Senators look like a really good team. They are big, strong, fast, play a heavy style and have skill up and down the lineup.

They just really lack some consistency to take their game to the next level.
They’re SO close. I think even under DJ they had great special teams. It was the goaltending and even strength play where they sucked. Now even that is clearly better. I think they got some dead weight to cut loose, once they do that, look out.

Yeah the Sens are really close.... Tbh I think this is the year they put it all together and I think Ullmark will play a huge role in that for them. If they can get 25-30 straight games here with Ullmark playing 20+ of them, I think they'll separate themselves as one of the top teams in the East.

On paper they're close, but I expect they'll have a bit more growing pains and another dip even if they do well this year, similar to the Devils. They'll be losing Giroux's leadership and ability in the top 6 soon.

Ottawa is finally on the right trajectory though.

I know this is from a little while ago, but holy shit, this defensive effort by Bouchard is hilarious. If any Avs defenseman coasted like that on defense, Bednar would shit enough bricks to build the Great Wall of China.

Right before the announcer says Bouchard is "looking to get paid". I can't wait for Edmonton to pay him for his offense and lock him in as their "#1" defenseman.

IMO this is Edmonton's last chance at contending and winning a Cup (and it may not be enough). They're old, have a couple pieces of substance coming up, and they are going to be in cap hell... that doesn't mean they can't make noise in the playoffs, but I don't see them as a top team next season. This year they may benefit from a weaker West with the 'next' teams not quite ready to take a step... but in any case, this is their last shot.

It's crazy to me that they couldn't take advantage of Draisaitl's amazing value 8.5m deal through his prime years. That was a hell of a lot of excess value they just squandered.

I simply don't think they pushed hard enough until the last two seasons... and made the classic "our window is forever" mistake.

Ottawa needs to be adding this year.
Depends on where they are around deadline time.

This always cracks me up. Bouchard falls down like a sack of wet laundry, and that's an absolutely HORRID goal for Smith to give up.

And to this day Oilers fans still bitch and whine about that offside review.

One of my extended family members here is a DIEHARD Oilers fan. I'm talking never misses a game, has season tickets, watches games standing up yelling at the television, believes in conspiracy theories that the Oilers are targeted by Bettman and the league.

Anyways, he to this day complains about the Avs getting "every call" that series (PPs IIRC were 19-15 that series lol) and that Makar's goal was offside, the Oilers got jobbed, yadda yadda yadda.

I would hear him out if the series was 4-2 or 4-3, but 4-0? In what world was a couple extra calls going to prevent the Avs from slaughtering the Oilers that series lmao

Ya but the series was way closer than 4-0.

Also if Bennington was playing in round 2 the Blues would have won the series because he helps break the puck out better than Husso.

Oiler fans do not want to understand that Makar was not offside.
