Question...
How much are the broadcasts f***ing with the crowd noise? I'm honestly begin to feel like the national broadcasts are using sound boards to control the crowd noise and chants.
Also, Gretzky still isn't a natural born speaker, but he's gotten so much better over the years. I really think doing TNT with Biz has helped really draw him out a bit more. Anyways, I was impressed with his speech and how eloquently he spoke about the game. Tonight was really the only second time I felt his full glory (I was too young, not watching back when he dominated). The first time was that cheesy commercial where they passed the torch. It was cringe, but the concept was solid... just a bit rough with the execution... but you could feel the power of the players and you could feel the reverence for the legends. That was cool. And then tonight... he was congratulating Ovie...it dawned on me he was not only speaking as Wayne Gretzky, but as the voice of the NHL.
