It’s a joint that allows you to lift your arm over your head, for one thing. Common injury if you fall and land on your hands. They don’t say what grade the injury is but the infection obviously makes it a lot worse. You could call it a separated shoulder for simplicity (not the same as a dislocation.)
Dislocation would be better than a separation. Separation can really f*** up your shoulder for good. He's probably done for the rest of the season.

"My husband being a complete piece of shit was out of his control!"

Come on man, nobody in this article even alluded to such a position.

However, I don't know when he became unhinged... or if he was always that way. If his ability to control himself didn't become an issue until his mid 20s or later, I think you have to consider the fact that CTE and repeated head trauma could have very well been factors.

Now, neither I nor anybody I'm aware of other than you, are suggesting that CTE could, should or is used to condone his actions. It's simply a diagnosis that helps explain what was going on, but it's never been considered an excuse. Much like being an alcoholic isn't an excuse for a DUI.

We do need to take CTE and head injuries seriously though, because Bettman and the league still refuse to acknowledge a link and we know that it absolutely has played a role in the deaths and suicides of far too many players.

This is new...

So, Phoenix, Houston, Portland, Kansas City, Atlanta, and New Orleans are the places that are rumored to be vying for teams? Any place I left out?

Yeah... Toronto, they've been vying for a team since 1967.

When your posts merge and one is really funny, and the other sad aF..

I still couldn't resist smashing the laughing emoji instantly though.

Yeah when you look up that injury it doesn’t seem like they should be just saying he’ll miss the 4 Nations; it sounds a lot worse.
I had a grade 3 shoulder separation about a decade ago (collarbone completely above the other part of the shoulder, tearing the ligaments) and within 2 weeks of using a sling, was out of it and using it with lighter activity. Within a month or so was back to playing sports and using it pretty normal with no rehab involved(still was cautious).
Now the collarbone still protrudes out and it's noticeable, but it functions like normal except might have a slight grind feel if I do certain overhead movements with weights. Wouldn't be surprised if It bothers me when I'm older though lol.

Obviously he had some complications and every one heals differently , but based on it sounding like his treatment was to clean out the infection and not to fix the joint itself, it was prob a grade 3 at worst(sometimes surgically repaired, any higher grades are surgically repaired and from higher impact events). Him playing a contact sport that can be hard on the shoulders might change his timeline though.

Oh man... you should hear about this time I tricked my brother into a nut kicking contest.

After I completely destroyed the chances of his kids being normal, I told him I surrendered and he won.
Dear God, I wouldn’t have fallen for that thanks to the late Buddy Hackett.

I actually watched this live the first time it aired when I was a kid. Best part is him knocking over a coffee table and the coffee cup that’s on it while he’s dramatically writhing around in pain.

I've been ripping this joke off for decades. *LOL*

Man, I see standup today and it's all so damn serious and self important. I'm so thankful I got to see giants like Hackett, Carlin, Pryor (Live from the Sunset Strip) and even Murphy's early stuff (Eddie Murphy, Delirious, and Raw).

I still enjoy Chappelle from time to time, but not nearly as much as I did on his first run with Comedy central. I'm not sure we really have a leading comedian at this point in time. I think Fluffy was the last big name I actually enjoyed. No pun intended. You could say that I fell to the law of punintended consequences.

He is a legend in hockey broadcasting.

Put my yeti mic out with my stick on the porch tonight.

Man, I have hard time believing a single word coming out of Friedchicken's mouth.
Why? I don't think think this is something he would go on air and make up or lie about. He doesn't do that like literally ever. He generally goes out of his way to not report anything false or to piss anyone off.

Naw, it's the whole part where he says, "It sounds like... I don't know if he got a shot or something, I don't know exactly what happened." And then he continued to talk.

No more expansion teams please, 32 teams is plenty.
