Morrissey didnt play last night for one. Theodore injured in the 1st period of the 1st game. Pietrangelo dropped out before the tournament. Makar missed a game due to illness. Thats Canada's top 4 defensemen. Stop complaining about injuries. You lost, doesnt matter why, you still lost.

Theodore,Pietrangelo,Morrisey. Just take the L and stop coping. You will get another shot in a years time it will be okay.
My point is Canada can gtfo with all the talk that they are head and shoulders better than everyone. Never seen a group with bigger inferiority complex. Canada got humbled this tournament

Really a big fan of USA defence as a canadian. Slavin is a beast.Maybe if Quinn was there it would have put your team over the top as Makar was a difference maker for us. Larkin was a really noticeable player too. Wish Jack Hughes was a bit more involve in the play. See you in the Olympics, where i think it would still be Canada and USA as favorites !

Play Hughes at center or don’t bring him at all because his game does not lend itself to that area. Hes not direct or good enough on the walls to contribute at this level at the wing.

I’d swap Nelson for Tuch, and one or two of Keller, Tage, Robo.

If I am being honest, this is a loss for Canada. Acting like they are head and shoulders the kings of the hockey world while losing and getting taken to OT by a USA team without Mcavoy Tkachuk and Quinn Hughes. Im not sure how you can actually celebrate this if you are Canada.

Had me until Quinn Hughes. He and Fox are basically the same player. No reason to believe he would have made a difference.

USA is on the rise and there's little reason to believe that the game even goes to overtime with a healthy Matthew Tkachuk.

Tuch really frustrates me sometimes by the way he's plays on Buffalo but I think he would have been absolutely perfect for this team.

After listening to USA fans after winning Sat you are saying this?

Keep coping. This is a generational group of players for usa hockey and a generationally bad d and goaltending group for canada and the states still couldn't get it done.

No one I know is thinking or saying the Canadians are way better than everyone. Quite the opposite, honestly. Having said that, a "humble" group is not the descriptor I would use. :)

US probably sent a better team this time around.
But Canada left a lot of much better players at home.

Im a Rangers fan and Quinn Hughes is significantly better than Fox. He would have been USA’s counter to Makar

You were supposed to wax us 5-0 both games. Id be embarassed as a Canadian

Too bad we were missing 3 of those generational players. Even if Tkachuk played the remainder of the game it doesnt get to OT

Canadians genuinely believe that nobody can compete with them, which was my initial point
Canada won lmao
Against a shorthanded team. Again my whole point was that Canada isn’t the mighty superpower they think they are

Sorry, we will simply disagree on your point. Any Canadian I spoke to yesterday (lets call it ~ 80 prime examples, mano a mano, respectible sampling for n) does/did not share this conviction.. so, figure it out.

This game was a knock-down drag-em-out between two closely matched opponents who were in the vernacular "going for a rip, eh".

So a country whose national sport is hockey defeats a country where the sport is basically only for the affluent in a few pockets of that nation (and needs overtime to do it) and we're giddy?
