2024-2025 Around The League Part 2

Columbus has publicly stated that they will be buyers at this deadline, so it doesn't make sense that CMac would be looking to pick over their team for spare parts.

If we're looking to go through somebody's pockets for loose change at the deadline, Jake Evans would be a nice get for the bottom six. He's a hard worker and a gamer who would fit well in Bednar's system on an expiring contract. The only problem is that we've robbed the Habs so many times recently that they might be afraid to deal with us again.

Otherwise, maybe Dumoulin from Anaheim? I don't know if he's still any good or not but he does have championship pedigree. If he's still got gas in the tank it might be worth a late pick.

I honestly believe he's on vacation. He was with Columbus since 1999...16 years in that town, he's had to have planted roots and still have close friends in the area. Oh, I'm sure he's talked some shop, but I don't think he went there for what could be done with a simple phone call or teleconference. I imagine the purpose of the trip was the vacation part.

We just love to jump to conclusions and think everything is business, but these guys also have to try and fit a life in there somewhere as well.

Going on vacation to Columbus would be the most CMac thing ever.

What's the point of coming here 50x a day if we can't make brain dead takes with no logic constantly?

Talking to Canucks fans is like banging your head against the wall. And most of them think we’re trying to say Hughes sucks. I think Hughes is probably the second best defenseman in the NHL. But they take objective data, ignore it, and just respond with some J-Fresh chart or eye test bullshit.

I just ignore it. The Nucks have nothing else going on for themselves.

Lol what's the story here? That was wild.
Watching this reminded me of a drinking game we had in the Navy.

We would watch old kung-fu movies that had the terrible voice overs from the 70s, but we would turn the volume down and assign everyone in the room a character and we would ad-lib the movie while drinking copious amounts of beer.

I f***ing gaurantee we had an academy winner with some of those... at least in the Comedy categories.

Oh man, I cannot keep up with that thread. Pages and pages every day, I just don't have time to try to participate in there anymore.
Man, you just spoke to my heart. I go to bed, wake up and start reading and find things I'd like to comment on and discuss but becasue they happened at 4am my time, it's been 12 hours and 5 pages of discussions that have gone on since. I feel dumber than hell for quoting something from more than one page back as it just seems to completely disrupt the narrative of our threads and causes folks to go back over stuff they've previously discussed (without my specific viewpoint).

I'm not sure if there is a norm on how old a post should be before you no longer comment on it. Is there a feeling around here on the matter?
