Loewen was released by Abbotsford a couple of months ago. He played 19 games (3G-1A) for the Komets during his first pro season in 2019-2020.

Cole Fonstad was under contract with Colorado but played exclusively in the ECHL (30GP 7-13) since he signed a AHL contract back in December.

Before joining the Eagles organization, Fonstad started the season with Straubing in Germany (DEL - 14GP 0-3-3).

Howarth was signed to a AHL contract by Milwaukee in the offseason but never played for the Admirals and instead opted to retire after training camp. After a short break, he is already coming out of retirement and joins the Indy Fuel with whom he played 54 games over the past 3 seasons.

With Howarth's signing, all the players who opted out of their AHL contract have found new homes.
