2024-2025 AHL contracts

CJ Smith joins the Checkers after starting the season with Barys Astana of the KHL (9 games, 0 point). It'll be his 4th AHL club after playing for Rochester, Chicago and Hartford. He has 206 points in 265 games.

Earlier this month, Charlotte signed Chase De Leo, another departee from Euro leagues but lost him during the waivers process.


Bakersfield signed a player from its ECHL affiliate. For now, Keppen will remain with the Komets where he is the lone skater signed to a AHL contract. Keppen had a 11-game stint earlier this season with the Chicago Wolves where he registered one goal and two assists.
